Designers
글꼴 디자이너이자 연구자이다. 홍익대학교 시각디자인과를 졸업하고 같은 대학원에서 2008년 ‘일본어 음성 표기를 위한 한글 표기 체계 연구’로 석사 학위를, 2011년 ‘최정호 한글꼴의 형태적 특징과 계보 연구’로 박사 학위를 받았다. 2014년 박사 학위 논문을 바탕으로 «한글 디자이너 최정호»를 집필했다(안상수 공저).
2008년부터 홍익대학교, 이화여자대학교, 건국대학교 등 다수의 대학에서 타이포그래피 및 타입디자인을 가르쳤다. 2012년부터 2015년까지 안그라픽스 타이포그라피연구소에서 책임연구원으로 아모레퍼시픽의 ‘아리따체’, 대한불교조계종의 ‘석보체’ 등의 프로젝트 매니저를 맡아 진행했다. 2017년 네덜란드 헤이그 왕립예술학교(KABK)에서 라틴 디자인을 수학했다.
2018년 ‘노타입’을 설립하여 «옵티크», «소리체», «기후위기-한글»을 출시했다. 2023년부터 2026년까지 (주)산돌에 합류하여 타입디자인 디렉터로 일했다. 2026년 현재 ‘노타입 연희’를 열고 다시 활동을 시작했다. 글로벌 타입디자인 공모전 TDC, Granshan 한글 부문 심사위원이다.

Eunyou Noh is a type designer and researcher from South Korea. She earned her BFA, MFA, and PhD in Hangul Type Design at Hongik University. She received her master's degree in 2008 with the thesis «A Study on the Hangul phonetic alphabet system for phonetic transcription of Japanese», and her doctoral degree in 2011 with the dissertation «A Study on the Morphological Characteristics and Lineage of Choi Jeong-ho's Hangeul typeface». In 2014, she co-authored and published «Choi Jeong-ho’s Hangul Type Design» based on her PhD thesis.
From 2008, she has taught typography and type design at various universities, including Hongik University, Ewha Womans University, and Konkuk University. From 2012 to 2015, she was a senior researcher at AG Typography Institute and led projects for Amore-pacific («Arita»), and the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism («Seokbochae»). In 2017, she studied Latin type design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK).

서울을 기반으로 활동하는 타입 디자이너이다. 노타입과 AG타이포그라피연구소에서 타입 디자이너로 일했으며, «Noh 소리체 Pro», «기후위기폰트-한글», «SD 커오히» 제주항공 «플라이트 산스» 등 제작에 참여했다. 현재 독립 타입 디자이너로 활동 중이다. 글자와 이미지의 경계를 탐구하는 데 관심을 두고, 그 과정을 즐기며 작업한다.

Joohee Lee is an independent type designer based in Seoul. She previously worked at Notype and AG Typography Institute, contributing to typefaces including «Noh Sori Pro», «Climate Crisis Font: Hangeul», «SD Cohhee», and Jeju Air’s «Flight Sans».
Her practice is rooted in an interest in exploring the boundary between letterforms and images, and she enjoys the process of discovering new possibilities within that space.
